"It's the people with cracks that let the light into the world"

Today, right in my new gadget sidebar.... what is that bar actually called... is it called a gadget sidebar? Anyway, if you have windows vista you know what I'm talking about...

So, today... I was working away when all of a sudden a new crises shows up in my news update on my gadget sidebar. Do you know there is a new crises... not the economy. That has been well publicized. This one I think could use a little more publicity. It's a chocolate crises. Seriously.

Today I learned that Hershey has been replacing coco butter with vegetable oil. Oi! That's not right. Apparently they are not messing with Hershey Kisses or the Hershey Bar but their other bars have been tampered with. Yet again... I must say, contact your representative. This madness needs to be stopped.

Don't we all remember what happened with the New Coke debacle. It wasn't pretty. Don't let this chocolate mess get out of control. Take a stand. Now apparently, the whole house of representative website is receiving a great deal of traffic due to other matters so it may be a little difficult to get on there, but don't give up.

I have something else to tell you about. It's a movie I saw this past weekend at the Birmingham Sidewalk Film Festival. I only saw one film but it was a good one. It was I Think We're Alone Now. It's a film about 2 men who are obsessed fans of Tiffany's. And, it was perhaps the funniest movie I have ever seen. Only, in a very sad, disturbing sort of way. In fact, I guess I could say it was hilariously dissturbborn. I debated telling you about it because I thought perhaps it would make me a bad person... cause you know, it was sort of heart breaking. And I'd be lying if I didn't tell you I haven't talked to God about it. Because WoW! It was crazy. But, I think you should see it. Earlier today I saw an interview with one of the guys in the film. He seemed to approve of the documentary so I decided if he approves of the film then I should certainly tell my friends about it. I don't know if it'll ever be at Netflix but if you have the chance to see it on the Sundance channel or at a local film festival, check it out. I'm using my favorite quote from the film as the title of this blog entry. It was said by Jeff Turner who believes Tiffany is his best friend. He also believes his head is cracked and letting light out into the world.

After watching the film, I'm not sure I can continue with my whole calendar boy endeavor. Uhm, you guys all know that Rufus Sewell does not know I exist right... and further more. I'm okay with that. I don't try to communicate with him telepathically. We live completely separate lives. That's clear right? I just want to be sure. Jack Hanna is also safe. I like to see him on Letterman and if I ever get the chance to stop by the Columbus Zoo, I might check it out. But, I don't need him to kiss my cheek or anything. You knew that right? This is also true of Bear Grylls and... who else have I obsessed over... oh yes, Jeff Goldblum. All safe... all live separate lives. We're good.

That whole thing with Hershey's? Yeah, it's because of the economy. Seriously. Like the producers of ice cream are charging the same price for a less-than-half-gallon of ice cream. It was that or raise prices -- and nobody wants to pay more.

Tell you what... I can handle a lot of things, but when the "economy" starts messing with my chocolate and ice cream, I get pissed.
Um have I ever mentioned that I've met Jack Hanna? When I go to the Rose Parade every year, he stays at my hotel. We often share an elevator.
